Hall of Famer overload! Fresh collection of 700 Hall of Famers including 41 Mickey Mantles, 39 Hank Aarons, and 38 Willie Mays cards acquired from family of original owner

It started as a simple Instagram message asking if we were interested in vintage cards. It ended with us purchasing a collection of over 700 Hall of Famers from 1959 to 1969! Adrian let us know he had some cards from his Grandfather that he was looking to sell. An appointment was scheduled to review of the cards. Upon meeting up, Adrian pulled out hundreds of cards in card savers, as well as 2 binders full of cards. The collection was absolutely mind blowing- 41 Mickey Mantle Cards, 39 Hank Aarons, 38 Willie Mays, 24 Pete Rose Cards, 10 Sandy Koufax, 18 Ernie Banks, plus 3 1968 Nolan Ryan rookies, 5 1968 Johnny Bench rookies, 1967 Tom Seaver rookie, 1967 Rod Carew rookie, 1958 Jim Brown rookie, just to name a few. The amount of duplication was incredible; there were 14 1966 Hank Aaron cards and 6 1966 Mickey Mantle cards!

With a collection like this, we had to know the backstory/history. Adrian explained that that the cards were his Grandfathers. While growing up in Texas, he (his grandfather) and his brothers were avid baseball fans and were huge collectors. It was very obvious that this collection was put together in the early to late 60s, as the majority of cards were from 1964 to 1969, with some late 50s/early 60s sprinkled in. When his Grandfather passed, Adrian was given several of the binders. The interesting part of this collection is every card was of a Hall of Famers or high profile player! After some negotiating, a fair price was agreed to. Throwback Sports Cards is extremely proud to own this truly impressive collection of
Hall of Famers.
